This year’s 50th International Home Fair, taking place between 8 and 13 March, is the first fair at the Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre presented on the leased spaces of Slovenijales, where 7,907 square metres of exhibition spaces stretch over 3 floors and where additional 4,600 square metres of service-storage facilities are in the 2nd basement.
This year, the Fair, which is – as appropriate for the anniversary fair – the largest so far, takes place on approximately24,000 square metres of exhibition spaces in all available halls, two additional temporary halls and on external exhibition surfaces. It presents 712 companies from 28 countries. The exhibition part is accompanied by a rich supporting programme aimed at the general public with experts offering specialist advice on energy efficiency, sustainable and environmentally friendly construction and rehabilitation of buildings after natural disasters (for example last year’s floods), and prefabricated timber construction, etc. On its first exhibition day, president of the Republic of Slovenia dr. Danilo Türk will officially open the event at 12 noon. The Green Mission prize will also be presented on the opening day.
